So looking forward to this
The style for the characters is very similiar to Van Harkan's Halo animation but that still doesn't discourage me from the fact that a lot of the scenes along with the character detail, props and settings look impressive enough.
Basing it on the perspective of the marines is a nice change from all the Halo animations which focus too much on the Spartans and their successors (and I'm one to talk lol). I'm eager to see how this pans out and hope it'll encourage more people to think outside the box when it comes to making Halo animations.
Okay while I have a lot of repsect for you, I have to say that this trend that everyone seems to be taking up, just doesn't make sense to me. If it was about trying to tell stories with the use of really simple characters and focussing more on vocal talent then that I can understand. But I just don't understand why people are throwing ten scores at this and every other animation like this.
But then again I have no right to tell people how or what they should vote on, so I'm gonna leave it at that.
Porch monkey for life (I'm taking it back)
I love the movies of Kevin Smith and this reminded me of how good the material from his movies is. You did a good job with the lip synching and I liked the expressions you used for the characters (even though I would have preferred to have seen animated versions of Dante and Randal).
Also I would say that I am in agreement with omegared in that you should try to write and animate you own material (although I'm one to talk since I haven't done anything original yet).
If I may ask one question though, did you do this as a test or just for shits n giggles? (I haven't checked your other flash at this point in time)
Overall good job and keep at it and hopefully you'll make something that's ten times better.
Oh and Snoogins
It was mostly a test to see if I could make a well made animation with no outlines (vectored) and still have a smooth animation
thanks for the review and Snoogins
funny and very well done
I you definetly did a good job on this one. I thought the movement of the chracters was well done, especially Kal's. I was pissing myself when I saw Kal dancing. It's just the simplicity of his moves that look funny. Anyway good work and as usual keep it up.
Kals a fanny
That was better than I thought it was going to be. The animation, while resembling South Parks's style was fluid and well done. I've never heard the song before so I can say now that you've made me want to download it now. Overall Well done.
While I felt sorry fo the Marines in the game, in truth I felt they were just unlucky. The part at the start is classic, and it makes Chief out to be an asshole (which to certain extent you can understand why). Overall the animation was good as well as the humour. Well done.
Greatest MGS Spoof ever!!
I've seen other spoofs of MGS and this has to be the best.
My favourite part is the part with Snake and Meryl.
Okay but not his best in my opinion
I've seen both Resident Awesome 4 and the Mario spoof before and I felt they were really funny, but I have to say that Pac-Awesome wasn't that great. I'm not saying it was rubbish, I'm only saying it didn't make me laugh as much as the other two. Despite this, I can't wait to see what will be in Awesome compilation vol 2.
It's BR South Park style
I think this is a good adaptation. Having not read the book, but seen the movies, I think it was quite smart to use the South Park way of animation. They both share the same amount of violence, so they go together quite well.
This is a really good piece of animation.
The Characters and the story are both quite interesting. The music fits well with the action and the animation itself is very fluid. There really wasn't much violence to comment on and I can't really make any comments when it comes to interactivity. It could use a little more humor, but other than that this is one of the best pieces of animation I've seen.
Hope you make another one. Keep up the good work.
